The Arc of Howard County hosted their 24th Annual Chocolate Ball and 60th Year Celebration. The event was held Saturday, April 2nd at the beautiful Turf Valley Resort! The Hocus Pocus theme was embraced by the attendees who were all excited to be together again for this event. This year's gala was sold out. The Chocolate Ball is held each year to raise money to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Howard County community.
In addition to a rocking band and great food, attendees were invited to indulge their sweet tooth and taste testing different chocolate confections provided by different chocolatiers in the community. Every year the attendees vote for a first, second and third place winner. This year's winner first place winner was the Lincoln Tech Culinary Institute, for the second time!
The 2022 Chocolate Ball King and Queen were crowned, and everyone from the Howard County Executive, Dr. Calvin Ball, and Howard County Chamber President, Leonardo McClarty were there with their spouses. Also in attendance was Leadership Howard County President, Stacie Hunt and restauranteurs Steve and Patti Wecker.
