Bathroom Transformation

Apr 15, 2021 12:00AM ● By Andrea Hysmith
Quarantine has given many homeowners in Howard County the opportunity to dust off their renovation plans. Andrea Hysmith of Ash Interiors and Design, has been busy working with homeowners who have decided to get started. Below she gives us the behind the scenes on one of her latest projects and then check out the gallery to see more and to meet the designer!

This sweet family had a goal of turning their traditional farmhouse in Ellicott City into a modern oasis. However, the homeowners were truly focused on using all eco friendly and sustainable materials in updating their Master Bedroom suite.  Luckily there is a company down the beltway that sells nothing but sustainable materials for home improvement. This entire transformation is completely eco-friendly and sustainable, from the faucet down to the insulation!

We found inspiration  reimagining the walls completely using amazing Black and White abstract tiles by Audrey Lane. We added mint green faucets from Jaclo creating an unexpected whimsical feel that compliments the sleek and modern design and is used in the master bedroom on the accent wall.  One of the great resources we used to find sustainable and eco-friendly materials was the company Amicus Green Building Center. Not only is this bathroom cool and modern but it is just the beginning. This project was so fun and we can't wait to continue working on the other projects that keeps the environment in mind.
